Dr. Brzezinski, a specialist in penile reconstruction and diseases of the urethra, has been associated with the Jewish General Hospital since 1985. He is recognized as one of the pre-eminent practitioners in a highly specialized field — performing reconstructive surgery on patients who have suffered injuries to the urinary tract, either through infections, trauma or complications arising from prior surgical procedures. Buccal grafts are among the breakthrough interventions utilized by Dr. Brzezinski to help patients reacquire healthy urogenital function. Similar surgical methods are used in both adult and pediatric surgery, although children pose a special challenge in terms of the surgeon having to deal with smaller structures and more delicate tissue.
