The Jewish General Hospital is one of two key teaching sites for McGill University and is responsible for over twenty percent of all teaching provided to  McGill's medical students and residents.

A substantial amount of teaching is also undertaken by our allied health professionals. Each year, over 550 students from 21 universities and colleges are placed in clinical program settings. Students from the secondary level to the doctoral level are based in our hospital to continue with the clinical and practice based aspects of their education.

The JGH also belongs to the  McGill RUIS (Réseau Universitaire Intégré de Santé).
