Dr. Jonathan Young

Dr. Young is a Laryngologist at the Sir Mortimer B. Davis Jewish General Hospital. Dr. Young graduated medicine at McGill in 2004, and performed a surgical residency in Otlaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery at McGill which he completed in 2009. Dr. Young then performed a fellowship training program at the department of Laryngeal Surgery at Massachussetts General Hospital in Boston, an affiliate of Harvard University. Dr. Young also performed an observership in Dysphagia at UCDavis in Sacramento. His clinical interest is in voice and swallowing disorders.

Dr. Young is an academic surgeon with particular interests in resident training and participates in multiple clinical and basic science research projects. His novel work in vocal fold contact trauma in collaboration with the department of mechanical engineering is the basis of multiple current governmental research grants and proposals. Clinically, Dr. Young is currently attempting to bring KTP laser therapy to the ENT clinic at the Jewish General hospital for the treatment of recurrent respiratory papillomatosis, dysplasia/keratosis, polyps, wrenke's edema, and vascular malformations.
