Overview
The division of Cardiac Surgery at the Jewish General Hospital, Montreal offers full spectrum evaluation and treatment for patients with cardiovascular disease.
Our Cardiac surgeons and Cardiologists work closely together to ensure that each patient receives personalized care based on the most current literature and using state of the art equipment and techniques.
In addition to having expertise in valvular repair and replacement, coronary bypass with arterial grafting, transcatheter aortic valve replacement, and aortic surgery, the Jewish General Hospital is a referral center for patients with complex pericardial disease, chronic thromboembolic pulmonary disease, and those requiring robotic complex valvular and coronary artery bypass surgery. Patients undergoing robotic surgery can benefit from a shorter hospital stays and an earlier return to full activities.
As part of the Azrieli Heart Centre, our uniquely integrated cardiovascular intensive care unit and cardiovascular ward offers specialized nursing care and allows our surgeons and cardiologists to work hand-in-hand in guiding patients along their postoperative journey.
