Opening Hours

Parents are allowed to visit their newborns at any time. 
Grandparents must be accompanied by one of the parents and can visit between the hours of 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.

Overview

The JGH Department of Neonatology is responsible for prenatal consultations for high- risk pregnancies as well as the care of newborns. The department is active in research, teaching and clinical care in the area of perinatology.

The JGH has been designated a high-risk perinatal referral centre by the Quebec government, providing ultra-specialized services for mothers and babies from across the province. In fact, in 2009, 35 hospitals transferred either antenatally, their high-risk pregnant patients, or postnatally, their sick babies for specialized care.
