From May to June 2013, the Vicki and Stan Zack and family Teenage Health Unit of the Goldman Herzl Family Practice Centre at the Jewish General Hospital brought together a group of adolescents who wished to stop a pattern of self-harming behaviour, including cutting and suicide attempts.
Over the course of a nine-week treatment program, all of the participants either stopped self-harming or decreased from several times a day to one or two times per week.
