Overview
The Respiratory Physiology department specializes and provides multiple diagnostic testing used to determine and assess the progression of all different types of lung conditions, as well as to evaluate the extent of any abnormality.
These tests are ordered by physicians and are performed by Registered Respiratory Therapists (RRTs) who are members of the Quebec College of Respiratory Therapists (OPIQ). The RRTs ensure the highest quality testing while adapting to the patient needs. They also assist Respirologists in invasive procedures such as EBUS, Bronchoscopies, PleurX and Thoracentesis for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes.
A medical referral is required for all tests and procedures.
