About Us

The Jewish General Hospital (JGH) Archives, currently subsidized by the JGH Health Sciences Library, is set up to preserve the institutional memory of the Hospital from its medical precursors in the 1910s through modern times. The Archives contains textual records, photographs, artefacts, and audiovisual materials and is responsible for maintaining a growing record of the JGH legacy. Through acquisition, arrangement and preservation efforts as well as digitization, the Archives aims to ensure proper care and management of archival documentation and provide access to its historical holdings.

This website, especially its online database, is a work in progress. Visit us often as new records will be added regularly.
