Salvatore Di Maio is a skull base neurosurgeon at the Jewish General Hospital and assistant professor in the department of Neurology and Neurosurgery at McGill University.
He attended medical school at McGill University in Montreal, Canada, and completed his neurosurgical training at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada. He also received in-residency training in endoscopic skull base surgery under Paolo Cappabianca in Naples, Italy, followed by clinical fellowship in skull base and cerebrovascular surgery with Dr. Laligam Sekhar at the University of Washington in Seattle, USA.
Dr. Di Maio specializes in open, endoscopic and minimally invasive procedures for skull base tumours, including meningiomas, acoustic neuromas, pituitary tumours, other cranial base schwannomas, chordomas/chondrosarcomas and other head and neck tumours.
