Hope & Cope integrates research and evidence-based practices into daily operations. Hope & Cope's diverse supportive activities within the Segal Cancer Centre, as well as its Wellness Centre, have been the focal point of psychosocial oncology research. Hope & Cope research focuses on issues that take place throughout the patient’s cancer trajectory including, but not limited to, complementary support within the multidisciplinary team, addressing distress and other psychosocial needs of individuals affected by cancer, and designing innovative ways to provide support. Specifically, potential benefits of digital health interventions, exercise and fitness, and survivorship plans have been investigated.
To meet these objectives, Hope & Cope regularly collaborates with researchers at the CIUSSS du Centre-Ouest-de-l'Île-de-Montréal, McGill University, as well as with other research institutions in addition to the dissemination of findings across stakeholders at the provincial, national, and international levels.
To discuss potential collaborations with Hope & Cope researchers, professionals and volunteers, please contact Hope & Cope’s Scientific Director.
