Overview and test results

The division has grown significantly over the past ten years. For example, the increase in emerging infections such as West Nile virus and Hepatitis C, the increase and spread of multi-resistant “super-bugs” and drug-resistant tuberculosis and the appearance of infectious human pathogens as agents of bio-terrorism have all contributed to a greater need for this specialty and physicians specifically trained in the area.

Test Results

Verbal test results can be personally obtained and printed at the Infectious Diseases Clinic and Tuberculosis Clinic at least seven days after the test is performed. For a written copy of test results, please return to the ID clinic mornings only, 7:30 to 10:30 a.m. ONLY - or contact Medical Records at 514-340-8202. For confidentiality reasons, test results are not given over the telephone if you call in to the clinic, but you may return in person, during clinic hours to review them with our doctor. (7:30 to 10:30 a.m.Monday through Friday only).

Please take note that it remains the responsibility of each patient to ensure that their contact information and telephone numbers are exact and functional.
