Get the Full-Text of a Journal Article
CIUSSS Users (not JGH) :
- Check if your libraries purchased the full text in OVID databases or CINAHL (links on the
e-resources page)
- Check if the full text is open access:
- in
Google Scholar (by pasting the title of the article into the Google Scholar search box), or
- using Google Chrome extensions:
Unpaywall or
Open Access Button
- in
- Request an
Interlibrary Loan (your library staff will obtain the full text for you from another library)
JGH Users :
- Check if your libraries purchased the full text:
- Look for the Find it @JGH button in biomedical databases.
- enable your
library links in
Google Scholar to simultaneously check if the library has it and if it is open access.
- Check if the full text is open access:
- in
Google Scholar (by pasting the title of the article into the Google scholar search box), or
- using Google Chrome extensions:
Unpaywall or
Open Access Button.
- in
- Request an
Interlibrary Loan (your library staff will obtain the full text for you from another library).
E-Resources for McGill Alumni
Limited access to some of McGill’s electronic resources (such as databases, e-books, and journal articles) is available to McGill Alumni using their McGill alumni username and password.
