Ronald B. Feldman, MD, FRCPC
Ronald Feldman, MD, FRCPC, is a psychiatrist, child psychiatrist, psychoanalyst and couple and family therapist. He was the founding director of the Jewish General Hospital Child Psychiatry service from 1967-1977, Director of the Couple and Family Therapy Service from 1980 to 2006, and Director of the Couple and Family Therapy Training Programme from 1980 to 1996. His research and publications have been on congenital rubella, early childhood autism, borderline personality in children and families, strategic family therapy, and family therapy training.
He has a long term interest in strategic therapy and for 25 years he and his wife, Sandra Feldman, conducted conjoint strategically and dynamically oriented couple therapy.
Currently he is an Associate Professor of Psychiatry, McGill University and a member of the ICFP Couple and Family Therapy Service. He serves as a master therapist for the family therapy service and provides clinical consultation and guest lecturing the Couple and Family Therapy Training Programme.
