Jewish General Hospital launches very own online television service
|
The Jewish General Hospital (JGH) has launched JGH TV, an online television service that showcases both important news and exciting features about the hospital. This new initiative is an ideal way to reach the public and provide the audience with important health information, delivered in a timely and entertaining way.
The videos featured on JGH TV aim to make the public more aware of various projects and events taking place at the JGH. This service provides the public with a window behind the scenes into what the hospital has to offer beyond traditional medical services. Featuring such stories as the opening of a new state-of-the-art lung cancer centre, to special national awareness events hosted by the JGH, to a touching gesture from hospital staff to a patient, JGH TV really has something for everyone.
“With all that is going on at the JGH throughout the year, it is wonderful to now have a medium to share information in such a creative manner,” says Francine Levi, Director of Donor Relations for the JGH Foundation.
In addition, JGH TV is also a fantastic way of providing public service announcements such as how to beat the heat on those hot summer days.
“This is an important initiative that goes beyond conventional communications, to help increase knowledge on health issues and advancements in the medical field,” explains Glenn J. Nashen, Director of Public Affairs and Communications at the JGH. “By way of the Internet and social media our goal is to reach the broadest possible audience, all the while providing the public with important information.”
