A successful first: Annual General Meeting of Jewish General Hospital and JGH Foundation combined into a single event

A first in Quebec medical history at the Jewish General Hospital: Two different surgical teams repair the same heart in one extended session
Montreal, April 11, 2017 – The Cardiac Surgery and Interventional Cardiology teams at the Jewish General Hospital (JGH) have joined forces to perform Quebec’s first robot-assisted coronary bypass, immediately followed by angiography (imaging of the blood vessels) to implant two stents (small tubes to keep arteries unblocked) during a single surgical session. Number of people with Alzheimer’s disease world-wide will double between 2030 and 2050
Montreal, January 26, 2017– Research to fight Alzheimer’s disease is continuing relentlessly in the hope that an effective treatment will be found to help the 110,000 people affected in Quebec. “Detecting the cause of the disease remains the number one challenge," says Dr. Andréa C.
