Andrea Fuoco
Medical Secretary, Employee Health Services.
Ms. Fuoco has been a member of the JGH family since 2009.
"The people make the JGH a special place. I have met wonderful people from many different cultures and backgrounds. It's interesting to be immersed in an environment where there is such diversity."

Mr. Obillo has been a member of the JGH family since 2009.
"The JGH has an unparalleled system of care for our multicultural communities. A part of this care involves making our patients feel as close to home as possible. This is one of the reasons people say, ‘The Jewish General Hospital is my hospital'."
Marc Renaud

Mr. Renaud has been a member of the JGH family since 1985.
"JGH employees are very dedicated to their work and to the services they provide. They have become very much involved in the community, through such programs as free public seminars on glaucoma and the annual JGH Jazz Festival."

Nick Drossos
Housekeeping Attendant in Laundry, Enviro Services Department.
Mr. Drossos has been a member of the JGH family since 2001.
"The JGH brings different cultures and religions together. At the hospital, everyone works together toward one common goal - to provide the best quality care for each patient."
Wendy Farha (left)
Breast Cancer patient in the Segal Cancer Centre.
Ms. Farha has been coming to the JGH for treatment since August 2009.
“I have found that staff members from each department involved in cancer treatment, including Surgery, Oncology, Hope & Cope and Social Work, come together to work as a team so that my needs as a patient are always attended to. More specifically, nurses in the Oncology Department are caring, compassionate and committed. When I call and leave a message, someone from the nursing team always calls me back the same day. Overall, I find the level of care I receive at the JGH is professional and prompt. Even during my visits to the ER, their triage process is efficient and swift, and I have always found the staff to be very competent."

Mary Rose Macapuno

Ms. Macapuno has been a member of the JGH family since 2007.

Hope & Cope Choir
The choir is composed of cancer patients who received treatment at the JGH.
“The relationship between the hospital, the Wellness Centre and Hope & Cope is seamless and extraordinary, but in the end, what makes the JGH so special are the people. The devotion, compassion and support offered by staff and volunteers is a tremendous help. There is such a high level of caring and everyone strives to make you feel as comfortable as they can."
Lilleth Wishart (centre)
Nurse in Postpartum.
Ms. Wishert has been a member of the JGH family since 1980.

Doctors are encouraged to be clinician-researchers, to build connections between the theory of medical research and practicality of patient treatment, and all researchers are making the research an essential and integral part of the hospital. In addition, doctors and nurses work together, in teams and patients are very vocal about the excellent care they receive and the dedication they felt from their doctors and nurses to their work.”
