Department of Psychiatry: Child Psychiatry Journal Club Series

The Journal Club takes place every second Wednesday of the month from 1:00-2:00 pm in Pavilion M, Child Psychiatry Building. It is open to staff and students in the Department of Psychiatry at JGH.

This is a learning activity that aims to increase awareness of Evidence Based Psychiatry methods. The focus of the club is the discussion of the applicability of the retrieved research literature to clinical practice. Presentations start with a clinical question, followed by a brief description of the search strategy that led to relevant answers, then the critical appraisal of the article.

Each service in Child Psychiatry presents on a rotating schedule.

The sessions are facilitated by Ashley Wazana, MD and Teodora Constantinescu, Librarian.
