Jean Chrétien undergoes successful surgery at the Jewish General Hospital
Former Prime Minister Jean Chrétien underwent surgery on Friday, August 6 at the Jewish General Hospital to treat a spontaneous subdural hematoma–a collection of blood between the skull and the brain that applies pressure on the brain. The procedure, performed by JGH neurosurgeon Dr. Jeff D. Golan, successfully evacuated the blood that accumulated on the right-hand side.
