Overview
The JGH Respiratory Physiology Department specializes in the measurement and assessment of lung function to determine the presence of lung disease or abnormality of lung function, the extent of any abnormality and disability, and the progression of a disease. This is done using various different pulmonary function testing apparatuses.
The department is staffed by Respiratory Therapists who are members of the Quebec College of Respiratory Therapists (OPIQ). They perform all tests and assist the pulmonary physician during bronchoscopy and thoracentesis procedures.
A medical referral is required for all tests and procedures.
