Research Review Office

Effective April 1, 2016, West-Central Montreal Health appointed one Research Review Office to serve its entire research population. The Research Review Office will be located at the Jewish General Hospital (A-925) and will act as the point of service for the Research Community of West-Central Montreal Health and will be the service center for the following research review bodies:

  • Medical/Biomedical (MBM) Research Ethics Committee;
  • First-Line/Psychosocial and Geriatrics (FLP) Research Ethics Committee;
  • Feasibility Committee;
  • Research Reimbursement Office;
  • Regulatory Policies & Procedures Committee;
  • Research Ethics Quality Assurance Program.

November 4, 2016
Update to Pharmacy Fees
Please take note that effective January 1st, 2017, the fees for services pertaining to study drug management by the pharmacy department will be modified. Please see the fee structure from the Pharmacy Department.  Please contact Julie Roy for more information.

Due to the Yom Kippur holiday on October 12, 2016 the CODIM-FLP and MBM RECs /Feasibility deadline for submission will be Tuesday, October 11, 2016 at noon for the October 26, 2016 FLP meeting and October 28, 2016 MBM meeting

Important Changes to Research Review Process
Effective April 1, 2016, West-Central Montreal Health has appointed one Research Review Office to serve its research population.  Please see the memo for more information.

Changes to Science Review
Effective immediately, researchers will submit all new protocols to the Office of the Research Ethics Committee (A-925), in accordance with the deadlines that appear on the Research Ethics Committee website ( It will not be necessary to make a separate electronic submission to the Science Review Committee

New MSSS Mechanism for Multi-Site Reviews 
Effective February 1, 2015 significant changes to the Multi-centre Research Ethics Review Mechanism has been announced by the MSSS.
