Overview
The ICU is a place where the sickest people in the hospital, or those who have just had major surgery, receive constant monitoring and care from a specialized team.

The two JGH Intensive Care Units are located across the hallway from one another on the third floor. Both units are large, open spaces. Most of the patient beds are in this open space, with a nursing station in the middle. There are a few ‘private’ beds in each unit that are generally reserved for patients who must be kept isolated or separated from others.
