General Information

  • This team treats patients aged 16-30 years who are experiencing their first psychotic episode.
  • Patients must have delusions, hallucinations, disorganized thinking and/or paranoid ideation on two or more occasions over a one-week period.
  • Patients must have been treated with antipsychotic medication for less than 30 days.
  • Patients must not have a history of pervasive developmental disorder, mental retardation, epilepsy or severe substance abuse or other general medical conditions that could account for the clinical presentation
