Mission:
En Famille is a Hope & Cope program dedicated to offering support and resources for young families living with cancer.
Our primary goals are to identify and respond to the needs of parents diagnosed with cancer and their children. We provide parents with age-appropriate resources, tools, information and emotional support to help them manage the impact of cancer on their lives and that of their children.
The program includes:
- Communication Workshops
- Educational materials such as resource guides, books (including “When Daddy Got Sick”), DVDs, websites
- An En Famille website with downloadable information which is linked to Hope & Cope and the Jewish General Hospital websites
- Peer mentoring – connecting with other cancer-experienced young families
- Support Groups
- Referrals (counselling etc.)
- Research
En Famille will achieve its goals through outreach, education and fundraising.
Support Group for Children whose Parents Have Cancer
New group for children aged 5-12, beginning November 18th. Registration is essential.
