Overview
The JGH Dialysis Department functions as an out-patient clinic, offering both Hemodialysis and Peritoneal Dialysis. Patients come in for treatments according to their pre-set treatment time, which may take place during one of three shifts: morning, afternoon or evening.
In 2005, the Dialysis Department expanded its doors into Pavilion H, allowing 12 more stations to open in addition to the previously existing 15. Pavilion G offers both Hemodialysis and Peritoneal Dialysis, while Pavilion H provides Hemodialysis only.
The Dialysis team consists of a pharmacist, dietitian, social worker, nurses and doctors.
The department is currently offering treatment to 162 patients.
