Dr. Jeffrey Minuk has been an attending staff neurologist at the Jewish General Hospital since 1995 and an Associate Professor of Neurology and Neurosurgery at McGill University since 2002. In addition, he is a staff neurologist at the Montreal General Hospital, Director of the Neurology Residency Training Program at McGill, and consultant neurologist at the Jewish Rehabilitation Hospital.
Dr. Minuk received his M.D. from the University of Manitoba in 1985, completed his certification in Neurology at McGill in 1990, earned a Master’s degree in Neurosciences from McGill in 1996, and received a post-doctoral clinical fellowship in cerebrovascular disease in 1997. He is a founding staff member of the McGill University Cerebrovascular Clinic, a member of the board of directors of the Canadian Stroke Consortium, and Chairman of the Consortium’s Education Committee. Dr. Minuk’s areas of research include soluble markers of inflammation and coagulation related to carotid atherosclerosis and antiplatelet resistance in patients at risk for stroke.
