In addition to serving as President, Leonard Ellen held numerous senior positions, including Chairman of the Strategic Planning Committee, President of the JGH Foundation and Chairman of the Mirabel Conference, which helped chart the hospital’s future direction. To honour his efforts on behalf of the hospital, Mr. Ellen received the Distinguished Service Award in 1996.

Mr. Ellen serves as Chairman of Leonard Ellen Canada Inc and Chairman of the Ellen Family Foundation. His community involvement includes work for the Campaign for a New Millennium, Concordia University and the McGill Centre for Translation Research in Cancer.
